Eli's Garden of Healing (EGH) was founded in 2022 following the murder of Elijah Gomez, a 15-year old Hamden resident. With his memory in mind, his aunt and uncle founded this non-profit with the goal to help others heal following violent events in their lives. In addition to programming that focuses on art, nature, and wellness, the organization is transforming 2 acres of overgrown, unused park space into a Healing Garden for people overcoming violent trauma.
