Families shouldn’t be apart when their child is in need of care. For over 30 years, our Ronald McDonald House Programs in New Haven, CT and Springfield, MA have been a home away from home for families who must travel far for their child’s healthcare. Our Ronald McDonald Family Room at Baystate Hospital gives families a place to rest, reflect, and recharge just steps from their child’s hospital bed. Our dedicated staff, volunteers, and community have led with compassion to surround families with support, hope, and courage. We’ve served over 25,000 families as their children seek essential healthcare, and we’ve helped families save nearly $2 million in hotel and food costs annually.
Hear from one of our past family the Brooks and their experience staying with the Ronald McDonald House: New Haven.
In 2025 our programs provided 429 families with over 8,000 nights of care, comfort, and community at our Ronald McDonald Houses in New Haven and Springfield. Families not only had a place to stay but also had hot meals and activities all provided at no cost. 70% of the families served in 2025 were from Connecticut and Massachusetts, we also served families from a variety of different states and countries allowing families to stay close during their child's medical treatment. In March 2026, Ronald McDonald House: New Haven opened 11 new rooms in our existing house allowing our House to serve 30% more families. Every donation has immediate impact for the families receiving support through the Ronald McDonald House.
