Community Partners in Action's mission is to build community by providing services that promote accountability, dignity, and restoration for people affected by the criminal justice system. 
Founded as the Connecticut Prison Association in 1875, CPA is one of the nation’s oldest criminal justice organizations, providing restorative justice services by working with adults and youth across Connecticut to support successful transitions from the criminal justice system to life in the community and workforce. Our programs include reentry services, holistic alternatives to incarceration, transitional housing, youth enrichment activities and residential treatment, and our nationally recognized Prison Arts Program.  
We deliver impactful services that unite People, Programs, and partnerships to:
- Empower individuals to change their lives for the better
- Make communities safer and stronger
- Enhance the quality of life across Connecticut
