The concept that Life’s 2 Short 4 Just 1 Sport™ was Steve and Kerry Boyle’s inspiration to launch a one-week sport sampling camp in 2008. True to our original camp identity emphasizing multi-sport play over specialization, we still believe sports should be fun and accessible. Now, 2-4-1 works to expand kids’ access to sports through camps, free before- and after-school programs, and evening clubs at local parks. 

Based in Hartford, 2-4-1 has a global footprint, reaching over 3,000 students aged K-12 annually. More than 30,000 kids across Connecticut, Denver, Boulder, Boston, New York City, Washington, DC, Maryland, Vancouver, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Kenya, and Zambia have joined the 2-4-1 family, sampling multiple sports, making meaningful connections, building resilience, and discovering the power of play.
