Bridgeport Rescue Mission is a faith-based nonprofit organization in Bridgeport dedicated to fighting poverty, homelessness, hunger, and addiction “from the inside out.” Founded in 1993, the Mission provides emergency support and long-term restoration services for men, women, and families across Coastal Connecticut. Bridgeport Rescue Mission operates a large food pantry and serves daily meals to both residents and members of the public facing food insecurity. The organization provides safe housing and recovery support for approximately 100 individuals at a time, including women, mothers with children, and men rebuilding their lives through residential programs and transitional care. The Mission also offers an entirely free healthcare clinic through Sage Healthcare, providing Primary Care, Physical Therapy, and Behavioral Health services at no cost to patients, helping remove barriers to healthcare access for underserved populations.
