Summit Adaptive Sports is a nonprofit dedicated to creating inclusive, life-changing outdoor sport experiences for individuals with disabilities across Northwest Connecticut. Through year-round programming—including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, cycling, kayaking, and more—Summit empowers participants to build confidence, independence, and a lifelong connection to the outdoors.
With the support of trained volunteer coaches and specialized adaptive equipment, Summit removes physical, financial, and social barriers so athletes of all abilities can fully participate. Each year, the program serves hundreds of individuals, with many receiving scholarships or subsidized access to ensure no one is turned away due to cost.
Funds raised through Birdies for Charity help Summit expand access, invest in high-quality adaptive equipment, and grow programming to reach more athletes and families. Every dollar directly supports opportunities for individuals with disabilities to challenge themselves, connect with their community, and experience the joy of outdoor adventure.
