Our mission is to educate the general public about the history and cultural heritage of the State of Connecticut and the role the State and its citizens have played as part of the American experience.
Connecticut Explored, Inc. publishes Connecticut Explored, a quarterly magazine, and produces an award-winning history podcast, Grating the Nutmeg. We publish educational books, Where I Live Connecticut, and Venture Smith's Colonial Connecticut, used by many elementary schools. We work to bring all aspects of Connecticut's history to the public in accessible forms.
